Wyze Buds and Buds Pro - Warnings and Instructions for Use

IMPORTANT SAFETY WARNINGS

WARNING

READ AND UNDERSTAND ALL INSTRUCTIONS AND WARNINGS BEFORE USING WYZE BUDS AND WYZE BUDS PRO. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY, DEATH, OR DAMAGE TO THE PRODUCT OR NEARBY PROPERTY.

  1. Do not use Wyze Buds when failure to hear your surroundings may be dangerous.Use of Wyze Buds may impair your ability to hear other sounds. Do not use Wyze Buds when your full attention is required--e.g., when walking, running, biking, or operating a vehicle or machinery. Wearing Wyze Buds during these activities can make you unable to hear and avoid approaching dangers, which can result in serious personal injury or death. Using Wyze Buds while operating a motor vehicle, motorcycle, watercraft, or bicycle may also be illegal in some jurisdictions and could result in penalties (in addition to the previously mentioned safety risks). Consult local ordinances and state regulations to determine whether you are in a jurisdiction that prohibits use and if so, under what circumstances.

  2. Consult your doctor before using Wyze Buds if you have a pacemaker or other implanted medical device.Wyze Buds emits an electromagnetic field that could interfere with pacemakers or other implanted medical devices. Interference with a pacemaker or other implanted medical device could cause the device to malfunction and result in serious personal injury or death.

  3. Do not use Wyze Buds at high volumes.Permanent hearing loss may result from long term exposure to loud sounds. To reduce the risk of hearing damage, keep the volume at the lowest level possible to hear properly. If increased volume is necessary, adjust the volume control slowly. If you experience discomfort or ringing in your ears, immediately discontinue use of Wyze Buds. Continued use of Wyze Buds at a high volume may result in your ears becoming accustomed to the sound level and may result in permanent damage to your hearing without any noticeable discomfort.

  4. Do not use Wyze Buds as hearing protection.Noise canceling headphones are not a substitute for specialized hearing protection. Wyze Buds will not protect your hearing from damage caused by loud sounds. Use of Wyze Buds for hearing protection in loud environments will not protect you from damage to your ears and permanent damage to your ability to hear.

  5. Do not use Wyze Buds if you are experiencing ear irritation.To reduce the risk of ear irritation, the earphone tip should rest against but not enter the ear canal. If Wyze Buds is causing discomfort or irritation, immediately discontinue use of Wyze Buds and consult a medical professional. Use of Wyze Buds while experiencing ear irritation may result in personal injury.

  6. Always confirm the earphone tips are firmly attached to Wyze Buds before inserting Wyze Buds.Failure to use, clean, or maintain the earphone tips according to our instructions may increase the risk of the earphone tips detaching from Wyze Buds and lodging in your ear. If an earphone tip lodges in your ear, do not attempt to remove it yourself. Seek medical attention immediately. Removing the ear tip yourself or seeking help from anybody but a medical professional can cause damage to your ears and may result in a loss of hearing.

  7. Stop use immediately if Wyze Buds feels hot.If your Wyze Buds become hot, remove them and discontinue use immediately. Failure to remove Wyze Buds when they get hot can result in burns.

  8. Stop using Wyze Buds immediately if any part is damaged.Inspect Wyze Buds, your charging case, and USB charging cable regularly. If you suspect any part is damaged, discontinue use immediately. Continuing to use Wyze Buds or your charging case or charging cable if any part is damaged may cause overheating, fire, explosion, electric shock, or smoking, which could result in serious personal injury or death. It could also result in additional damage to Wyze buds, the charging case, the charging cable, or other nearby property.

  9. Do not burn, break, gouge, puncture, crush, or otherwise damage Wyze Buds or the charging case or charging cable.Damaging Wyze Buds, the charging case, or the charging cable may cause overheating, fire, explosion, electric shock, or smoking, which could result in serious personal injury or death. It could also cause additional damage to the device, USB charging cable, or other nearby property.

  10. Use only the charging cable provided to charge your Wyze Buds.Do not use any other charging cable to charge your Wyze Buds. Use of another charging cable may cause the product to overheat or catch fire, which could result in serious personal injury, death, or damage to nearby property.

  11. Do not replace the battery in your Wyze Buds.Do not use any battery other than the one that came in your Wyze Buds. Use of a replacement battery may cause the product to overheat, catch fire, or explode, which could result in serious personal injury, death, or damage to nearby property.

  12. Do not leave Wyze Buds, the charging case or the charging cable near heat sources or places where heat collects.Wyze Buds, the charging case, and the charging cable should not be placed in direct sunlight, near heat sources (e.g., fireplaces, portable or baseboard heaters), or other areas where heat collects. Ensure that Wyze Buds, the charging case and the charging cable are used and stored in cool areas with adequate ventilation. Specifically, Wyze Buds, the charging case and the charging cable should not be used in environments hotter than 104°F or cooler than 32°F. Allowing Wyze Buds, the charging case or the charging cable to become too hot may cause overheating, fire, explosion, electric shock, or smoking, which could result in serious personal injury or death. It could also result in damage to Wyze Buds, the charging case, the charging cable, or other nearby property.

  13. Charge your Wyze Buds indoors only and do not get the charging case or USB charging cable wet.Only Wyze Buds themselves are water resistant. The charging case and USB charging cable are not waterproof. Do not get them wet or use them to charge the Wyze Buds in an environment where they might get wet, including outdoors or near water (e.g., a bathtub). Do not charge Wyze Buds in a room with more than 85 percent humidity. Do not charge Wyze Buds if they, the charging case, or the charging cable are wet or damp. Do not handle the charging case or the charging cable with wet hands while charging. Charging Wyze Buds while they are wet or in a room with more than 85 percent humidity may result in electric shock, fire, or smoking, which could result in serious personal injury or death. It could also result in damage to Wyze Buds, the charging case, the charging cable, or other nearby property.

  14. Keep Wyze Buds, the charging case, and the charging cable out of reach of children and pets.Wyze Buds are not a toy. Never allow children to play with Wyze Buds, the charging case, or the charging cable. They contain small parts that may present a choking hazard. Children and pets can also get tangled in Wyze Buds cords, risking serious personal injury or death by strangulation. Place cords at least three feet away from any crib, bassinet, play yard, or other safe sleep environment. Failure to keep pets away from Wyze Buds could result in serious injury to the pet.

  15. Do not use Wyze Buds at high altitudes or other areas with very low air pressure.Wyze Buds are not designed to operate in environments with very low air pressure. Use of Wyze Buds in areas with low air pressure can cause the battery to explode or leak, which could result in serious personal injury or death. It could also result in damage to Wyze Buds or other, nearby property.

  16. Do not attempt to remove, repair, or modify any part.Wyze Buds, the charging case, and the charging cable do not contain any user-serviceable parts. Do not open them. Wyze Buds are not designed to be opened. If you attempt to open Wyze Buds, you could receive an electric shock. You could also damage Wyze Buds’ components, which could result in overheating, fire, explosion, electric shock, or smoking, which could result in serious personal injury or death. It could also result in damage to Wyze Buds, USB charging cable, or other nearby property.

Lithium-ion batteries should be recycled by companies familiar with disposal of electronic products.
